good point. but who is McLaren?
also like the comment that if Newbigin was not in a liberal context like the WCC he would have been critiquing the conservatives with equal gusto.
speaking of the WCC…when Ahmadinejad gave his rousing and ultimately pretty crazy speech on the destruction of the US to great applause at the UN, the WCC gave a dinner in his honor.
Brian McLaren is an author and speaker, considered sort of the “father” of the Emerging Church movement. He was the founding pastor (he’s retired now) of CRCC, the church where many of us at CPCP met.
